At OASIS Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics, we provide the best dental care for your infants, children, and teenagers. Dr. Arthur is fully prepared to manage the oral health of your child, as well as making them feel both comfortable and safe in our Houston office.
We provide comprehensive dental care for your child. This includes routine examinations and cleanings, as well as restorative treatment and interceptive orthodontics.
When invasive procedures are necessary, we’ll provide you your child with sedation options that include general anesthesia and laughing gas. We want to make sure your child is at ease and comfortable every step of the way.
Experts recommend scheduling your child’s very first children’s dentist appointment prior to their first birthday. Getting started early allows us to build a solid relationship with you and your child that’s based on trust.
By following your child’s oral development from the very beginning, we’re able to provide the best children’s dental care possible. Along with regular checkups, we’ll instill healthy oral hygiene habits that are bound to last a lifetime. It is recommended that you and your child visit us for a routine checkup at least twice a year.
You should expect a baby’s first tooth to break through their gums anywhere between six months of age and one year. The rest of their baby teeth will grow in and then fall out naturally at stages that vary individually among kids.
Around the age of six, permanent adult teeth will start showing. These can continue to grow throughout their adolescence. A full set of adult teeth that includes all four wisdom teeth is 32 teeth. We want to make sure your child learns how to care for all 32 of their teeth properly to prevent the need for restorative treatment and a lifetime of excellent dentition.
Call us today to schedule your child’s first trip to the dentist. Our friendly staff is ready to answer any questions or concerns you may have, and we’re looking forward to meeting your family!
